overheating when sleep mode

Hello,
My asus k555l laptop has been overheating when goes to sleep mode.All the processes run at that time and it makes the temperature high.What can i do?Please give a suggestion.thank you

I would assume it isn't only hot when sleeping. But you don't mention.

Have you tried opening it up and making sure it is free of dust and debris?

Next have you tried changing the thermal paste? Or looked into replacing the fan(s)?

Those are what I would start with.
