Overwrote factory OS and now networking does not work

I have an HP 2000-2b09WM Notebook PC that originally had windows 7. I installed aversion of Windows 7 64-bit. Now it will not connect to the internet via wireless or ethernet. What should I do? I went to the HP website to download drivers to a USB drive, but they did not work when I tried to execute them on the HP. Please help!

Cannot use recovery partition to restore the computer to factory settings either.

Did you download the 64 bit drivers? What exactly happened when you tried to run the drivers? Dd you make sure you got the drivers for the right OS and model?
