I recently moved and did not take any pictures of how my setup was, but I was able to have my 360 hooked into the TV with HDMI 1 and PS3 in HDMI 2 (see last pic). Sound always comes out of TV, but I was able to supplement it with surround sound from 2 3-ft tall Sony speakers hooked to an old Aiwa AV-D58 receiver. The thing is a beast and still works, I just can't figure out how I had the thing rigged. The first 3 pics are the back of the receiver... I swear that is the only cable I used from the receiver to the TV and it worked... I could mute the TV and hear the sound from the speakers or mute the speakers and hear the TV, or use both simultaneously.

When I needed to plug my Xbox 360's Turtle Beach X12's in, I removed the cables from the back of the TV (the last pic) and replaced with Turtle Beach's red and white audio cables. I am 100% sure the cables are in the right space on the back of the TV but where on the receiver do I need to put them to get this setup? I feel I've tried every combo... and I always had the receiver set to Video 2 but putting them in Video 2 audio in doesn't work..

Check the audio menu of the TV. When you moved it may have reverted to variable audio output rather than fixed. That would mute that output when you mute or turn down the TV speakers.

Nothing in the TV settings indicates this...is there a problem with where I'm plugging the cables? This is driving me crazy...thanks for taking the time to answer though.
