Panasonic 2008 TV with built in HD through satalite.

Has anyone hear what is happening about panasonic 2008 built in HD satalite TV's. The info on them sending through an upgrade so we can watch i-player etc has disappeared. I know they solved the problem with newer TV's post 2009.
