So having worked as a tech for an unnamed corporation, I've come to like a diagnostic tool we use (and a lot of PC's have installed by default): PC Doctor (PCD). I was looking into getting a copy for myself to use for diagnostic purposes on several PC's, but don't feel like shelling out $300+ for the software (I'm a college student after all :p)

So I was curious if anybody knew of any comparable software that would preferably run in-windows. I currently use YUMI to manage my bootable drive, and have UBCD and Hirens installed on it, so I'm aware of the tools built in there, but I would preferably like one that could run straight in windows like PCD can. I suppose a Linux tool would also work: I'm just curious if there's a solid program out there that would perform the same base functions (HDD testing, Mem testing, etc.) without needing to scatter between programs in UBCD, or preferably without having to boot to anything separate at all (Linux I could manage). Thanks in advance for any tips.

Advance system care is the best i have sen in years.I have been using it since day one and never looked back.Only cost 20 or 30 for a sub.And it is all so free to use.

The sub unlocks a few extras that might help some one like you.I build and repair systems my self as well for the last 20 years.

It has automation

I could be wrong, but I thought he was looking for a hardware diagnostic and not a registry cleaner.
