Pc to tv via hdmi and tv to receiver via optical

Hi guys. I'd need help: I've connected my pc to hdtv via hdmi and the optical digital out of my tv to dolby ampli. The experiment is going well but I cannot have the dolby digital sound on my amplifier. I've Windows 7 and on the hdmi digital sound section I've no choice! I've only 2 channel. Is there a possibility to have some codecs or similars to fix this problem?

Unless the source, i.e. a movie or video is encoded with Dolby Digital and such, you will not be able to get surround sound going.
