Peru First Country to Offer Windows on OLPC Machines

The One Laptop Per Child foundation has announced that Peru will be the first country to try the Windows XP version of the XO Laptop, previously only available with a Linux-based OS.

Meh.

The OLPC machine is nifty, but it's best to use a light specially designed operating system such as the Fedora derivative that was developed for it. The things is suppose to be for kids, not business users who want windows compatibility.

Things are cramped enough on that hardware as it is without using two complete operating systems AND Office 2003.
