Phenom core unlocking,rolling back to dual core ???

If i unlock my phenom 555 would i be able do get it back to dual core as it originaly was(have an asus board with core unlocker) ???

i can imagine that you unlock the cpu to get the additional cores.

I would lock the cores and it will probably go back to a dual core.

Why are you going back to dual core?

I havent unlocked it yet,and im wondering if i do so and it overheats or whatever,would i be able to get it to default 2 cores you know

probably could.

its really the mobo that unlocks the cpu through adjusting bios settings. If the cpu overheats, it will just shut down.

Yes, you can unlock and re-lock at will (assuming your chip unlocks fine anyway)
You may find your overclocking potential is restricted once the fourth core is up though
