AFP57 posts: I have unlocked the 4-th phenom II x3 core on a Gigabyte GA-MA770t-UD3P motherboard. Works pretty well at 2.8 GHz and stock kooler. HOWEVER, the onboard audio experiences noise! I have tweaked core voltage up to 1.4V but no improvment.

Has anyone experienced that ? Any solution found ?

not always.

i have a phenom II 550 x2, both cores unlocked and runny at 3.4ghz. not a problem.

it may be an unrelated problem entirely.

what sort of noise are you talking about? a little more info and we can try to help.
How is the audio with the cpu at its default? I have zero experience unlocking the 4th core myself. But I dont think a cpu core would affect the audio at all. And raising the voltage to address an audio problem sounds like terrible idea.

If he has the Intergrated sound, that means it is run from the CPU as its main source. Oh and btw, just what BadTrip said, They disable those cores for a reason.
