Can AMD Phenom II X2 550 unlock to Quad Core ?

I have AMD Phenom II X2 550 Processor, i don't remember is it X2 550 Black edition model or just simply X2 550

Can i unlock it to quad core with ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 Motherboard?

Is there any risk unlocking the core

It could fail to POST. Might need a CMOS clear in that instance. Otherwise it just needs to be stress tested just like overclocking.
