philips tv to sony dvd get sound but no picture

I can't figure out how to get the picture, sound is fine. using the red, yellow, white cables and feel like ive tried everything and still no picture.

The red and white cables go to the l and r sound.

The yellow cable goes to video in on the TV ... from Video out on the dvd.

If you have no picture try swapping one of the sound cables to see if the yellow cables is in fact damaged.

If your DVD player is very modern, you might have to press a key on its remote to enable RCA (yellow) port instead of HDMI.
