The phone I referenced is a BASIC cell phone with bluetooth, but not a SmartPhone. I think the Tile Mate requires a Smart phone.

Would this work with a Basic cell phone (not Smartphone)? The cell phone does have bluetooth.

Does the basic phone support bluetooth? If so, it looks like it will work.

For the first suggestion, does any family member have a smart phone? If so, it could work. The second option does appear to be a better choice.

My husbands is the basic phone (with blue tooth), but I do have a smart phone.

As an option, you might use your smart phone to keep track of his basic phone, keys, etc. Just a possibility.
