Question Photos and videos disappearing

Hi Guys

I have a Samsung Galaxy Edge S7, I've taken photos and videos.
A message flashes up and tells me where the photos and videos will be stored, the SD card.

The photos and videos stay available whilst the phone is on. Once the phone is switched off, then back on, the photos and videos are nowhere to be found.

I've removed the SD card.

The phone does what it's meant to do regarding photos and videos.
The SD card shows older photos and videos taken at the beginning of the year (I transferred a whole lot of the stuff from the phone to the SD card).

I've taken sporadic photos since which too have disappeared.

The SD has been inserted into the PC, the SD card seems fine (undamaged), but I can't find the videos from last Saturday.

I'm kind of stuck. Any help would be appreciated.

How much space does you memory card have remaining, instead of pic and video try downloading large file from internet to you SD card and See if same happens. I thinks due to some cache space images and videos are no longer found and removed by the phone. Try any cache app from play store to clear unnecessary cache from SD card.

Check if the same thing happens on another micro-SD card.
