Hi guys,
I hope it's the right forum.
My sister has this laptop, which I think is less than two years old, and still when she uses Photoshop the pc freezes and everything works slow. The DPI is 3000. I don't use Photoshop so no idea if it's a lot or not, but I think this laptop is quite good and it shouldn't be like that. She has ssd, 16gb, and gpu and processor are good too.
She closed all unnecessary apps, run anti virus and anti spyware and still the ram is around 90% when she uses Photoshop.

Any tips?
Adding more memory will help?

Solution
Something seems wrong if the laptop has 16 GB of RAM and shows 90% of it being used when Photoshop is the only program running. Are you sure this is a legit copy? Or is she editing some massive file?

Photoshop is a bit unusual in that it doesn't use Windows' memory management. It does its own memory management and uses its own pagefile (scratch disk). There are too many options for me to go through here, but you can read about them and how to change them on the following link. Make sure the amount of RAM allocated to Photoshop is less than the amount of free RAM when Photoshop is not running:

It's legit. She has a monthly subscription to services online.
It is a massive file. She says it's DPI is 3000.

Thanks for the link. I'll try some of the suggestions.
