Question pics show on camera but not on computer

I have a Canon T6i and I can view pics that I took the other day on the camera, but not on the computer. I saw that they were protected so I changed that; however they still can not be viewed on the computer. I have tried some of the programs to repair the SD card, but they still don't show those specific photos. Please help me figure something out. These photos are from a photoshoot and I need them so I can edit them. Thank you!

Do you mean you can see the files but not open? raw or jpeg? install canon software to open the raw?

They were shot in raw and it's the first time that I have shot in raw. I am unable to find my software cd and when I went to the Canon website, it is showing multiple different types of softwares. I'm new to raw, can you tell me what type of software I need? This is what is listed...
