Picture but no audio on DVD player

i have an LG tv and an LG blue ray player connected to the tv by an HDMI cable. I have a picture but no sound when playing a DVD. I have changed the cable incase it was faulty but no joy. Any ideas?

Check the menu of the DVD player.
