I don't see a front facing camera... fail.

Looks like a great phone, but not good enough to get me to upgrade from my 7 month old nexus one (which should be disappointing)

looks more like the Nexus 2 if you get my drift, same light grey, same shape, sam one button on the bottom.... Nexus 1 1/2? Still I like it, I love my Motorola Cliq because it runs android and has a full keyboard. My only complaints would be its not the fastest phone out there and the screen is a smidge small so this phone maybee perfect for me. Bump

Looks like a good replacement for the Droid. I'm looking to leave Verizon and go with GSM carrier so I can have web browsing and phone usage at the same time. I need to look-up data on the Internet while on speaker phone with clients, and well we know that Verizon / Sprint 3G networks can't do that.

So whatever happened to the Qualcomm processor that was listed in the FCC specs?

hmm,Engadget reports that it has a 800MHz CPU not 1GHz
http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/01/confirmed-t-mobile-g2-will-have-android-2-2-flash-and-800mhz-c/
"the cellular carrier's insider newsletter T-Mobile Scoop says the phone's MSM7x30 chip will be clocked at 800MHz, rather than the 1GHz we'd hoped for"

Why do these phones have pull out keyboards when thay have touch screens! Is the idea of a virtual keyboard just to hard to understand?

Noope, but is the feeling of tactile feedback so hard to understand?

Some people (like me) prefer physical keyboards, I can use a touch screen keyboard just fine, but I def like a real one much more, it's much easier for me to type quickly on it.

It's a legitimate issue. I run into this when I use my Droid as a GPS. If I get a phone call, the directions stop because it can't stream the data maps and directions at the same time as the phone call.

This model seems to have no Sense on it yet which I like (although it does seem that HTC is getting quick with with update roll-outs despite Sense), the Sense mail client in the Incredible is buggy with Exchange, no issues on Droid or Nexus One stock clients.

Who cares about a front facing camera... if you had one who the hell are you going to use it with there's only a hand full of phones with front cameras and non of them are really "mainstream". in regards to the iphone apple will probably limit usage to iphone to iphone.

I have to agree with you, video chat is a gimmick, and not widely supported. I believe "Facetime", the iPhone video chat service, is only for Apple products already. In fact, I think you have to have an iPhone 4 or one of the new iPod Touchs, it doesn't even support Apple computers like the MacBook.

So yeah, no front-facing camera is no big deal to me.

It's about time! Thank goodness they didn't get rid of the keyboard on it, I just upgraded to the myTouch Slide3G, but for the G2, I think I'll budge for one!
