They don't have unlimited credit. When new money is released, old money is distroyed. The Banks gather money that is in rough shape and send it in for replacement, thus the new Bills are Born.

This is part of many step by step changes to the appearance of the American dollar to make it look like candy wrappers. Then the switch to all world one currency like the Euro's will not seem like such a shock. "Hey it looks about the same? So what's the problem?" Nothing to do with security. All about a slow “boil the frog” gradual transition to one world currency.

They should replace Benjamin Franklin with Ben Bernake to usher in the new era of printing press Ben who is printing hundred dollar bills at a time and causing inflation. I am pretty certain a classic liberal like Benjamin Franklin was opposed to that idea.

Still fiat money and to add more zeros all they have to do is shrink the font then print like there is no tomorrow. Most of the new money that gets dumped into the failing economy is done so electronically and one such example is food stamps with the swipe cards that is how they have been able to hide the incredible unemployment. 39.5 million are on food stamps that is how they are hiding the bread and soup lines.

What is it? 95% of money is electronic now?

Lots of people seem interested in knowing about the monetary system now. We use a fractional reserve banking system.

Go and google
1) Money as Debt
2) Zeit Geist: Addendum (probably the best technical explanation of how the monetary system works)
3) The Money Masters

[citation][nom]bbrgt[/nom]So people can still counterfeit the old 100's if they're still in circulation and bypass all this new technology.[/citation]
Idiot. This is how all currency recirculations happen.

[citation][nom]jellico[/nom]Yeah, plenty of new anti-counterfeiting measures in place to make sure the government is the only one who can make our currency worthless by unlimited printing.[/citation]

I see what you did there.

[citation][nom]touchdowntexas13[/nom]So they do plan on taking the old $100's out of circulation eventually (gradually) right?Otherwise they are just printing more money that we don't have. Hopefully banks will indeed be taking the old $100's our of circulation as they are deposited.[/citation]
By law the only way that the banks can circulate new bills is to trade old ones for the new ones.
