Pioneer receiver display turns off

Hi There!
I have a problem with my pioneer VSX-821-K. it's been working fine, but suddenly everytime I turn it on, the display shows for about 5 seconds and it goes dark. the receiver is working cause I hear the speakers fine. when I press anything such as volume, all the lights comes on for 5 seconds and then goes dark again.
Any help or opinions will be appreciated,

I have a problem with my pioneer VSX-821-K.

Same problem. Maybe my cats presses some secret combination to enable this feature.

Bottom left of remote control, labeled CLR, also handles dimmer, hit once and your problem should be fixed
