Planning to buy new laptop

I'm planning to buy a new laptop, since the one I've been using is damaged.
I'll be using it for photo and video editing (Adobe Photoshop, Premier Pro, Wondershare Filmora etc.)

The one I was using for past 3 years had a 15.6" full HD screen. This time, I wouldn't mind going for a 13"(for portability) laptop. But 15" is also in my mind, because I use it for watching movies a lot. Maximum budget is $1350(90k INR).
I want it to have full HD display(minimum), i7 quad core processor, long battery life and should be portable.
I don't play a lot of high end games. So a laptop for gaming purpose is unnecessary for me.

PS: Is Apple MacBook Pro MF839HN/A with Retina Display (13") a good laptop for photo and video editing?

How useful and necessary is an external video card for editing purposes, given I buy a laptop without a video card inside?
