Plasma TVs offer great picture quality, but they last like 3 years (and that is screen itself that fails often). LCD TVs have lesser picture quality, but at least last much more (besides common failures like bad electrolytic capacitors in power supply).

No, sorry. I just want it to point that out. I mean, plasma screens can last more, but it practise it often fails in a few years. So, if it was me, I wouldn't buy plasma. But that is just me.
