Playing games is very slow

Hey i have a hp envy 15-ae178ca, i have had it for 2-3 months have played 1 game the most which is rocket league, after a week of playing it, it seems that the game is lagging and that it is not proper. is this possible

Note i had it charging while i was playing

- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Nvidia graphics driver.
- Check Programs and Features and uninstall anything related to Nvidia.
- Next is to download and install the latest graphics driver from the manufacturers site.

- Reboot your laptop once the latest driver has been installed.
- After the reboot make sure to set Nvidia as the default card.
