Crysis 2 is going to look the best on the PC, without any doubt.

The above atatement needs an edit.. " WITH THE FASTEST ( and most expensive..!! ) HARDWARE ONE CAN BUY TWO YEARS AFTER THE LAUNCH OF THE GAME " needs to be added..

No games like Gears of War or Left 4 Dead is the reason why PS3 is useless other than being a bluray player that does some single player gaming. Multiplayer experience sucks on the PS3. I want to play WITH my friends, not against them. Sony needs to do something about the lack of action multiplayer co-op single-player missions. Or is Borderlands and Resident Evil 5 the only games we got (that is any good)?

[citation][nom]megamanx00[/nom]That is interesting, especially considering that the RSX in the PS3 more closely resembles a DX 9.0c part while the ATI Xenos is closer to a DX10 part with 24-bit (rather than 32-bit) shaders. Still, the PS3 has more number crunching and fill rate power. I wonder if we'll be able to tell the difference.Eitherway, I'd rather use my PC with it's 5870 thank you very much.[/citation]If its anything like other multiplatform games, each version will have its strengths and weaknesses. A lot of PS3 games run at lower-than-originally-advertised resolutions, for example. So we can't fully judge their programming efforts until the game is released.

sony have done everything in there power to make PS3 development as easy as possible, it has just taken a while, I agree with what crytek say say, coming to the party late has definitely worked in their favour with regards to the ps3.

here's a thought: ps3 gpu < 360 gpu, ps3 cpu > 360 cpu, gpu = for graphics, cpu = for game mechanics, most games: 360 > ps3, crysis: ps3 > 360, hence, crysis has more advanced game mechanics than most other games! == good game!!!

it must be! maths don't lie!! (although chances are the cell is used mainly as an auxiliary GPU to aid the PS3's GPU, that's how it usually works.)

Haven't been playing games with consoles for ages.

I am really surprised that the game performance on consoles of different brand are different.

[citation][nom]aaronb09[/nom]but alas soo many idiot Piraters out there will ruin the sales for crysis 2 furter ruining the PC community. It was cause of stupid piraters that made crytec decide to look into multiplatform..[/citation]

Uh really? It sold TWO FUCKING MILLION COPIES.

Not bad for a game everyone knew they couldn't run it at the way it was suppose to.

Now leave with your pc dying and go talk to a bunch of contards.

[citation][nom]Hellboy[/nom]well hasnt the ps3 been mooing better specs for a while and considering it was released over a year after xbox released it should be higher spec..looks like the dawn of ps3 has finally started to come of age..[/citation]

Just because Microshaft wanted to have theirs out first. MS used old IBM technology, a 3 core power pc processor while IBM developed the cell processor for the PS3, but wasn't made just for the PS3 it was also made for other applications such as the IBM Roadrunner supercomputer.

Who said the PS3 has a weaker graphic chipset than the 360 ?

Ever seen Uncharted 2 ? Look at that first and then talk... PS3 has much better hardware than the 360, both GPU/CPU/cooling... the whole nine.

360 has a bigger fanbase/popularity and has better online play (albeit paid... subjective, if its worth paying for or not).
Also, the controller is better for FPS ONLY.. not for any other genres.

Had 360 not had RROD issues, i wud've jumped on the bandwaggon long ago, however, PS3 still for me, since it's much more reliable obviously and provides a better gaming experience due to better visual quality and performance.

Okay, Console vs PC versions aside lets talk storyline. I naturally thought the sequel would have us going back into the sphere to settle the score there. How did we go from having the aliens backpedaling after taking their Mothership down to New york city being a massive graveyard? What about the battle for the sphere? Did the aliens just wormhole their way straight to New York? And why New York? Or is this a prequel to another sequel?

Oh please. These are subjective reviews from old games. Benchmarks comparing each console's video subsystems. Get a clue.

I own the PS3, 360, & obviously a PC, and I'm not bias to any as each has their own strengths. But, what I hate is that when game developers make a game multi-platform, they try to make them all look and play the same. I would rather they make the game the best it can be on each of the platforms, and if one turns out better than the other then so be it, if not then it feels like we are being ripped off since they are intentionally lowering the quality of the game.

Ps3 Only Tittles look amazing on a HDTV. Tittles that are on both systems look the same and not Their Best. Developers Max out the Xbox and just port it 2 Ps3. Every single game can and should run better on PS3 its just that Lazy developers must get paid not to make Ps3 look better by Microsoft

Couldn't agree more.

The shooter user base is vastly larger on the 360 than the PS3. I'm not sure why Crytek views it as a good move to alienate the largest user base. Bad press is still press?

[citation][nom]kingssman[/nom]Other than flight sims, do you really need a keyboard for all those button inputs?[/citation]

Uhm, yeah. Try mapping all of a shooter's controls and remembering the sequencing on a controller: L1+L1+R2+X to trade a weapon in for a hypothetical example on the PS3. Compare that to simply remembering "T" on a keyboard.

Please.

Obviously the ps3 will have better graphics. I own an xbox 360 but I dont blind myself with fanboyism and say it's not. We all saw this coming the ps3 came out like a year after the xbox. Grow up all you fanboys this is pissing me off
