Please help, don't want to make a wrong choice. Which of these 2 laptops is better, and why?

The second laptop.

Price isn't really an issue, I just want something long lasting and reliable, that won't need to be replaced because it's too slow.

Also, the first one is a dual core i5. The second one is a single core (?) i7. Which one's better?

Ok, that makes sense, I was reading about CPU's earlier and how i5 and i7 don't come in single core, only dual and quad or something.

Gaming, rendering video, streaming music/movies etc. The usual stuff.

Well, not much is known yet about the AMD Radeon R5-M430 GPU in the HP, but it sounds like its capability will be a close match to the AMD Exo XT (R5-M335) in the Dell. They are both entry level.

If I had to choose between the 2, I'd probably pick the Dell because of the i7 CPU.
