1. Budget <$1000
2. Small / light as possible. I cycle 30km to uni everyday
3. Not fussed about screen resolution.
4. I own a desktop, this is just for taking notes
5. Need at least 6 hours battery life (ideally more)
6. Don't play any games/watch movies
7. I'm only using this for Microsoft excel, word, onenote + some other statistical programs (Eg SAS)
8. Don't care about Harddrive space
9. No idea where to buy it
10. I want to keep this laptop for around 4 years
11. Don't need a CD/DVD drive
12. No brand bias
13. Live in Australia
One thing that I would really like is a touch screen ideally with a stylus. This computer is mainly for taking notes and doing excel, so I want to be able to handwrite diagrams and equations to supplement my typed notes as I see them in lectures. I would also like windows 8 because hey, why go backwards?
Thanks guys.
