Please Recommend Me Programs for my PC + Kaspersky

Hi,

My dad just bought Kaspersky PURE 3.0 Total Security for my fairly new PC. I'm currently in a pickle with my laptop and I'd like not to have my working PC get sick too, so just imagine this new PC just came out of the box--what applications (for maintenance and health) would you download that will coincide with Kaspersky?

Don't go to dodgy websites, don't download things you aren't completely sure is safe. Common sense is the most effective way.
Malwarebytes is useful if you suspect of having malware.

Though not an anti-virus program you might consider CCleaner from Piriform for cleaning out temporary Internet files and other temporary files. It also can be used to reclaim disk space after you have deleted files you no longer use or want.
