"Pluged in not Charging", periodically apperas

i have a hp g7 1150us laptop with win 7, Intel core i3 1st gen. one day i sued my laptop on a UPS (uninterruptible power supply, inverter, old type not very good quality, also its battery was at the ends) since then whenever i connect my charger to laptop, it charges fine for 5-7 minutes and then the battery portion shows "plunged in, not charging" this remains for about 10 minutes and then reverts back to normal for 5 minutes and son on and so forth, i have tried "ms acpi battery control method " re installation, holding power button for 1 minute, everything but the problem seems to be resistant, any solutions?

Try another battery, if it's the original battery to the system it's at the age where the battery would start to fail.
