Polk 6500 BT sound bar cuts out every 2 mins 43 seconds

I have just purchased a Polk 6500 BT soundbar and sub. Have an annoying problem where the sound momentarily cuts out every 2 mins 43 secs. Any reasons why?

Because it is such an exact time the suspicion is that it is a timed feature gone wrong.
I am not familiar with this unit but some other units turn themselves off after a period of time without an input signal,so if your unit has this facility perhaps its cutting out momentarily due to a fault in this circuit.
Its unlikely but it may be that the input signal level is too low .

For clarification, the soundbar cuts out for about a second and then comes on again. This happens every 2 mins and 43 secs. It's like a signal is being sent from other units, Smart TV or maybe the mysky box that are connected. I am using the optical cable between the TV and soundbar. Rather weird, but very annoying.
