I have an MSI GP63 Leopard 8RE, purchased a couple of years ago from Wal*Mart. Ever since I started playing graphics-intensive games, the battery life dropped from what was supposed to be 4 or 5 hours to less than an hour. Games would 'skip' every couple of seconds. Being near a plug didn't help a whole lot because the charger couldn't keep up with the power demands and would eventually give out. Eventually, the original power supply gave out completely so I went to my local computer store to get an iGO generic adapter. I still have the same problems, though I don't think this new power adapter will die out anytime soon. Changing display settings doesn't help.

Is this a common problem for gaming laptops? Did I purchase a bad computer? Is there anything I can do to enjoy these games without having to worry about the battery being rapidly drained?

John.

Sorry I've not replied to this thread in a while, guys (and gals?) but things have been a little hectic in my neck of the woods.

Anywho, I took y'alls advice and searched ebay and amazon.com for the much-needed 180w power supply. What folows are my results.

My problem now is I don't know which one to pick. Any suggestions? As always, you have my thanks in advance!
