[citation][nom]back_by_demand[/nom]I personally am secular, but if by sheer fluke there is an afterlife I think I will get by on the fact I haven't prayed on behalf of an organisation that has actively murdered, stole, child abused, tortured, held back progress or generally been pretty un-godly. Remember, association is culpability.[/citation]
Well you pay taxes to fund a government that does the same thing. Perhaps you're still screwed

yeah,right...
They are loosing control, which they had for hundred and hundred years, and now they want it back.Too late. The sheep became predator, and it's hunting you.

[citation][nom]back_by_demand[/nom]Maybe your right, good thing I don't believe in an afterlife then isn't it?But still, just how much credibility can you give to a faith that says no to condoms and abortion. C'mon guys, pick one or the other.[/citation]
The "faith" doesn't say that, the head of the institution of the Roman Catholic Church says that. I am sure that most people will have differing beliefs to what the "officials" publicly state, as will individual churches. In the same way my government speaks for me yet doesn't uphold my opinion in the slightest, the Pope and his Cardinals speak for Catholics but not necessarily with the same views as them.

Also, opposing the use of condoms (for some reason) as well as abortions is not contradictory. The support sex within marriage bonds only, and you're unlikely to have accidental children that you can't care for due to being 13 if you're married. Rapists will never use condoms. I personally oppose abortions as well, because I see no reason why a baby can't be given up for adoption (properly, not left in a bin to be found almost dead) rather than chemically terminated. I have no issue with condoms though, or other forms of contraception.

The cynicism of everyone's comments leaves little hope for humanity. Just give some thought into what we speak. There is nothing wrong with blogging spiritual words. The beauty of religion is that it lets people believe that there are better plans for them then this crap shoot we call earth which has only been getting worse. Trust me, we would be able to live without the internet as did billions of people and years before us did. With that in mind, go actually read the bible before you bash it. It has a lot of good advice in it. Even if you don't believe in god.

The reason this crap shoot you call earth is getting worse is because of religion. The wars we are right now fighting are all religous in nature and political in divinity--stupid--yes.

If you think that a god--a grey haired old man who lives in the sky, has plans for you now and in the afterlife, you should rethink that notion. Life is what YOU make it, not god, nor anyone else for that matter. And when you die, what makes you think there is an after life? Why would you want to live forever in the kingdon of a god that has basically forsaken you here on earth? I hope when I die, its total death and I die without the worry if I have been good or bad. Just in the notion that I did my best while I was here on this earth.
