Portable student laptop under £500

Hi my last lapop has unfororunately just died on me, so I'm looking for a laptop at around the £500 mark. I'm a student so portabilty and weight are important. I'll mainly be using it fro word processing, programming and unity (and maybe 3ds MAX). I'm not too bothered about the graphics card, but being able to run some light indie games would be nice!

Any advice would be greatly appreceated, I don't need the laptop urgently so if there any laptops coming out in a few months, or if there will be a price drop soon please tell me!

i3 and a 740 nvidia would be decent for both student and some gaming
