Powered Bookshelf Speakers with AVR

Started to assemble a home theater system and planning to an budget AVR with bluetooth.
I am kind of new to concept of AVR system so, have a very basic question
I already have this speaker

Is it possible to use this as front or rear speaker?

AVR are designed to work with Passive speakers. These Edifier are Active speakers. That mumbo-jumbo means, don't use skinny tires on your truck. Can u force it? yeah.

So active speakers accept line level outputs, so your AVR must put out this signal, look for PREOUT on your AVR. If AVR has no PREOUT then you can use a converter like THIS between AVR and Edifier.

Thanks, if I want to connect them by bypassing internal circuit is that possible? Do I have to build a crossover circuit for the speakers?
