I have a Compaq Presario 2700, and this was working fine unfortunatelly I decided change the cover behind the LCD and
now I do not have video. I was very carefully handling the cables
and this operation was apparently without complexity but wasn't.
Now I do not have any idea what could be wrong.

Plug your laptop into a regular monitor .... Does it display properly?

Please be more specific about why and how you did your repair --- What specifically is the COVER you refer to --Is this the laptop lid or the thin plastic behind the LCD Screen.

You may have disturbed the power wires to the LCD backlight that connect to he INVERTER that is typically located in the bottom of the LCD screen/lap top lid.

First at all thanks for your help. If I connect the laptop to a regular display it
does display properly.
The plastic cover I refer is the laptop lid (253912-001). I was thinking about
the cables connect to the inverter and I think at one moment I inverted the
connector and power on the machine. Do you beleive the LCD bulb coulb
be damage?
I am thinking in dismantle the cover again and re-connect all the cables again.
But I have serious doubt about the LCD bulb.

Today I was working with the machine and I can see a very dark image in the LCD.
During the day I will validate the cables bewteen the inverter and the LCD bulb
and see what happen.
I will let you know my results. (Thanks for your help)
