I had a trouble with a display on Aspire E1-472, so had to buy and install a new one, supposedly the same. Now I have the following problems:

1) Whenever I close the notebook, I need to restart it to be able to work. Otherwise nothing is displayed.

2) Running certain programs has become impossible, e.g. some old games downloaded from GOG.

I checked the system data, all drivers are up to date. I'm attaching screenshots with system details. I suspect it has something to do with this 'generic pnp monitor'. Let me know if I should give more info.

Thanks for suggestions.

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Start by uninstalling/reinstall the latest graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics card driver.
- Check Programs and Features and uninstall anything related to your graphics card.
- Next is to download and install the latest driver from the manufacturers site.
- Once installed reboot your laptop for all the changes to take effect.
- If the same problem will persist after doing these steps please do try doing the clean install method.
