Hi all,

Firstly, I have provided some pics so that you can look at them. The main problem here is that the lights seem to be on in the backpanel, yet there is no display indicating charging or other.

I have read about "trickle-charging" but I am no entirely sure it is a battery-related problem. Moreover, it seems that one of the contacts on the LCD cable is slightly burnt or damaged. I am not sure if this is relevant, and if there should be at least some sign of a display, not dimly lit screen but black.

Main questions: What do you think the problem is? Can it be fixed without ordering parts? Basically a motherboard for this unit is about 20 pounds, and the battery is about the same price. A new Memo 8 pad costs about 55 pounds, so repairing it seems completely pointless.

I have already extracted whatever data was in the folders, so the unit is definitely on or at least can communicate via USB.

Thanks in advance for reading.

Turning volume up or down produces a noise. The tablet is definitely on, so it seems like a display problem. Maybe it is possible to reflash or it is completely gone?
