So i bought this headset http

Because i broke the old one. I play games on steam where you need mic for better communication but with this headset its impossible to speak. Cuz mic is too far from my mouth and when i run mic test it only works when my mouth is touching that mic... but its impossible to play like that cuz i wouldn't hear anything then. The only thing left is that i put this headset around my neck and to use just mic.. but then i need to buy earplugs and i don't want to waste cash on that either.. I adjusted my mic volume everywhere and its still bad. Any advice?
