problem with laptop shutting down

i am using dell inspiron 3537 laptop. when i shut down the screen shows shut down after some the time the screen goes blank but stil the blinking lights are on . so i have to use the force to shut down by using power buttion.. any body please hep me

Hi,

Do check if the power button settings is all correct or set to shut down the laptop instead of putting it to hibernate or sleep.
- Right click on the battery icon and select Power Options.
- Click on Change plan settings then on the left pane click on Choose what the power buttons do.
- Set When I press the power button to Shut down then click on Save changes.
- If this will not work I would suggest running a complete virus/malware cleanup.

- Worst case is if all these will not work run a complete Factory Reset.
