My 65" Mitsubishi television has hundreds of black and white dots all over the screen. Can you tell me what repairs have to be done on it or what the problem is with it....or is it worth repairing it? The television is almost 5 years old.

Understood. This indicates an issue with the TV itself vice the various inputs. Have you checked around your local area for estimates to fix TVs like yours?

Honestly, for the cost and hassle of getting it repaired, it might just be time for a new HDTV (5 years is a good run).

What model is yours?

735 Series Model WD65735 I was told my Mitsubishi that I need some sort of a color chip for around $50....and labor would be around $200. It's a DLP HD television

Scrap it....or sell it for parts...
Buy a new one and get the store 4-5year protection...in this case it would have paid off and you would have gotten a new TV!
But..this is not the case...so buyer beware you can get some satisfaction from paying a little more for that store bought warranty!

I would definitely recommend a new HDTV. Good luck!
