Problems With Default Function Key Setting

On my Toshiba Satellite laptop I want to have my function keys to control volume, brightness, etc. by default (no fn key required). I can't see any function lock and changing the UEFI firmware settings did nothing.
Got any ideas on how to fix it?

Never mind I found the Toshiba Function Key Utility which I believe made it so when I changed my firmware settings it actually went through.
