Program remote for Sonoc

Can I program a DirectTV remote to use with Sonos Playbar for my Sharp Aquos TV. I am trying to block the sound from TV and only have it come through Sonos

After you connect the optical out of the TV to the Playbar you will turn the optical output on and the TV speakers off in the TV menu. That will stop the TV speakers from working.
I believe you can teach the Playbar to respond to the DTV remote vol +, -, and mute and the TV power if it is an IR remote.
If you call Sonos tech support they will talk you through the process.
