Projectors compatible with Dell 600m laptop

Hello,I'm trying to use a Dell 600m laptop with an Optopma DLP projector. All I'm seeing is VGA searching. Help somebody

Odds are you need to switch the laptop to output to its VGA port (Assuming you are using a vga cable). Try function F8.
