Proper tv connection

Do I need to run both an HDMI cable and a coaxial cable from the tv receiver to the tv for it to work, or is just an HDMI cable that is needed?
Yes coaxial from the wall to the receiver but is another needed to the tv as well when an HDMI cable is connected ?

Yes. Coaxial cable should be connected from the wall to receiver box then HDMI cord from receiver to your television. That should work!
