Hello there,

Recently today my PSVR 2 Headset ( Latest Model ) cable which connects to processor unit got cut into 2 pieces and there is no support from Sony as this is an imported product from the USA. As said by other peoples who are facing the same issue like this that even if Sony agree to repair it then the repair cost would be almost the same like purchasing a new one, So is there some way so I can rejoin this broken cable like soldering or something. Please check attached screenshots to understand the whole scenario.

Please let me know if someone has any solution to rejoin this and what precautions do I need to follow while doing the rejoin process. Thank you

Here you have quite good tutorial : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9G9gaokqvM
Shrinking tubes should be ~2x size of the cables, you need a tin wire, soldering tool and something to take isolation from the ends (you can do it with a knife)
I guess you can also go easy way and just give the cable to some IT/repair store near you and im sure that they will solder it for you ;D

If all those cables are different colors then soldering should be fine, in this case remember to use shrinking tubes beacuse of the amount of the cables in the braid.

Yes, all the wires have different colors although there are some wires which looks in the same color, But on a very closer look, some difference is noticeable, Please tell me if it works after soldering then can I get same signals from cable or do I need to compromise with the picture quality in my VR Headset. Thank you for your quick response.

Sorry, I never did a soldering in my entire life yet but I know how it's done so just want to know a correct tool. Thank you
