Hello,

I have a single layer DVD burning player and use DVD5 (4,7GB) disks to burn avi files. Now I want to do the following but am not sure if it is possible:

I want to put avi file that I downloaded from edonkey like
Alias, ER or American Idol that were ripped from HDTV, onto a DVD5 but they should be able to work on my DVD player (non DVD-rom) regular DVD Player.

I wish to know if this will be possible, will simply changing the file names from .avi to .vob be enough, or how will it be possible in NERO burning software

Please assist...

I want to be able to review my dvd5's later on my regular dvd player

thank you
Ralph

Almost any video editing package will allow you to import and AVI into a project and then burn that project to DVD.
you could check out pinnacle, hauppage, sonic, nero, adobe, they all have software to do this.
