Putting Humpty Dumpty (Asus G2S-B1) back together again (special tools for blue cable?)

I bought an Asus G2S-B1 several years ago. The touch pad eventually broke, and being younger, I was careless enough to open it and remove all the screws/monitor. I just decided a couple days ago that I'm going to put it back together even though I can't locate a replacement for the touch pad cable.

Two things concern me:

1. I don't think it's possible that I can connect the large blue cable to motherboard.

2. I have no idea (forgot) where the black/white/gray cables on the monitor go.

I have posted pics for convenience, but really need a solid answer for both before I know if I continue.
