Question about laptop

Hello,

I want to buy a laptop, but have some questions.

1. what vga card is better ?
Geforce 8600M GS or the Radeon mobility HD2400.



2. are the following cpu's any good ?
AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-62 and
AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60


If I should choose between 2 different vga/cpu :

1. a AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 with a GF 8600M GS
2. a AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-62 with a Radeon HD2400


What has better performance ?

The TL-60/62 difference is pretty negligable - you won't be able to tell a difference.

The 8600GS is the stronger card.

Overall, option 1 beats out 2 - but it does depend. Lots of people make threads like this without stating what they're using the machine for. For instance, if you were using it for audio/video/image editing, 2 would be a better choice. However, for gaming and CAD, 1 is the better choice. What are you going to use it for?

With the vga of the laptop I want to play old games like ghost recon en rainbow six ravenshield.


I looked around and found another laptop, only it has a radeon X1250.
Is this vga better or worse than a HD2400 ?

Is it better to go for a asus notebook than for a acer ?
My father says that asus is a better brand.
So I asked him : how is asus better ?
He said : it is just a better brand.

What do you think ?

In general, Acer is known as a value manufacturer, whereas Asus is a more general manufacturer. General beats value in quality.

Both have some very good offers, though. It largly depends on model and that model's reputation. Reviews of the notebook come in handy here.

In my experience, Acer has slightly better service than Asus. But given the choice, I would buy Asus over Acer.
