Hello, I would like some opinions on which of these

is better.

It's basically 750GB hdd, 6GB memory and an i5 vs. 500GB hdd, 4GB memory and an i7.

Is the i7 that much of a step up to justify the slightly higher price and worse memory?

IMO, its worth it to get a real 4 core for 20 more. Go for the i7.
