Odd that anybody would market something specifically for the PS4, but OK.

Headphones/Earphones are generic items, as long as the plug is correct it will work.

Portable devices typically want to see a 16 ohms headphone, if this Turtle Beach is a lot more than that, it may play at reduced volume.

should be. you might need a nokia 3.5mm to apple3.5 mm adapter for mic to work as the two standards use different rings for mic and ground.

That sounds insane. I've always assumed the lowest collar is the ground in order to maintain compatibility with no-mic plugs.

why? because apple wants to be difficult and sell expensive special accessories. just look at the chargers and data cables they use.
