I have a Sony Vaio svf152a29m laptop. So today i bought 1 stick of ram. I opened up my laptop was trying to put it in.I removed the first stick so i could put the new one underneath. When that was in, then i put the old one to the other ram slot and it doesnt put in as it should, tried putting the new one there didnt work. The ram doesn't go all the way in. The other slot works just fine. Can somebody tell me the problem?

Not sure of the specifics with a Vaio, but there shouldn't be differing slots, they should accept the same RAM.

If it appears one slot has pins on top and not the other, perhaps they are "mirror images" of each other? ie you need to put one in pins-up & the other pins-down?

You have to put the ram in the same way, you know the feeling when you stick it in and it hold, but in that slot that doesn't work
