Ram stick laptop

So i have a dell latitude 3330 and it won't boot(the power led turns on but after a couple of seconds it just shuts off again) so i think the ram might be broken is there a way to find out i only have 1 stick.

Bad RAM wouldn't cause your laptop to shut itself down - - it would keep running but with a RAM error on the screen.
Something else is causing the shut down problem.
